2015 sees us holding our 21st Annual On-Property bull sale, which also marks 68 years of stud Shorthorn breeding and over 100 years breeding Durham Shorthorn cattle in north west NSW and southern Queensland.
On offer this year are 90 bulls and 30 heifers, that we are proud to have our brand on. It is the first time since 1984 that Yamburgan has offered females for sale by auction. The entire draft of autumn drop K heifers will be sold as ‘Buyers Choice’ along with high indexing, pasture prepared bulls, providing purchasers a chance to secure top Yamburgan genetics. This year showcases the progeny of our new sires, both AI and natural service, and brings a new mix of genetics to our offering.
This years sale bulls have been prepared, as always, on forage oats during the winter months and have performed very well. The heifers have been AI’d and joined naturally with pregnancy details available on sale day. All bulls and females are available for viewing at any time leading up to the sale.
